Carmen Spoonemore

Carmen Julia Spoonemore wrote her first book, For The Collective, in the Spring of 2020 when she was thirteen years old. The book was primarily written at the base of a chairlift at the Snoqualmie West ski area where her family had moved when the COVID-19 pandemic hit.

Carmen, now eighteen years old, released her second book, Double, in January of 2023.

Her third book, Our Child, is expected to be published in 2025.

Carmen is a twelfth-grade student at the Seattle Academy of Arts and Sciences in Seattle, Washington. She enjoys speech/debate, cross-country running, skiing, and hiking.
